The Lone Oak - Gewurztraminer
The Lone Oak Tree Series
The varietal series of the Winery is named after the famous tree that stood at the center of the four kibbutzim which were established in Gush Etzion before the War of Independence. Until the return of Jewish communities to the area, those who looked from afar with longing at Gush Etzion, would see the oak tree. Upon returning to the place, this “Lone Oak Tree” became the symbol of the renewal of the communities of Gush Etzion.
Varietal: Gewurztraminer. Semi dry white wine.
About the process: The grapes are hand harvested, then broken to create the initial high-quality must, which then goes through a slow cold supervised fermentation in stainless steel fermentation tanks to create the wine.
Characteristics: Greenish straw color, strong and intense aroma, especially prominent are the smells of roses and tropical fruits, in particular lychee. The wine has a gentle sweetness, pleasant acidity and a long, scented finish.
